Grandma's Hot Apple Pie

INGREDIENTS:
¾ oz. Softened butter
1 Medium green apple
1 tsp. Lemon juice
1 oz. Granulated sugar
¼ tsp. Cinnamon
7” Diameter puff pastry sheet

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
Cut skinless apple into wedges and toss with lemon juice. Sprinkle ½ of sugar and cinnamon mixture on apple until evenly coated. Spread ½ of softened butter on bottom of 7” Teflon skillet and arrange the apples in a spiral overlap. Sprinkle remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture on top of spiral apples. Cover with puff pastry that has been rolled out 1/8” thick with fluted edges.

Place skillet on stove and sauté for 1 minute on high heat. After sugar and butter begins to caramelize, place in a 375° oven for approximately 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oven, flip pie immediately and serve.
